MICHELE HALEY, PH.D.
I have been privileged to witness the growth and transformation that education and awareness, particularly around mental health, can bring to individuals, families, communities, and professionals alike. Thus, Workshops for the People was born.
I have been bi-coastally trained in psychology and bring a unique perspective to training, mentorship, and coaching . I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University, with Honors in Psychology, in Norfolk, Virginia. I earned my Masters & Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) in San Francisco, California; the longest standing & accredited professional psychology school in the United States.
As a first generation college student, I've been fortunate to have had excellent training and mentorship opportunities which helped to shape my values both professionally & personally. I believe that education is a right not a privilege. In developing Workshops for the People, I aim to make educational opportunities both affordable & easily accessible to individuals, families, students, professionals, & organizations.
I have been honored to have been working in the field for approximately 10 years in a multitude of roles: mentor, advocate, case manager, coach, therapist, researcher, thesis chair, and as a professor in Masters and Doctoral programs. The field of psychology is continually growing and changing and I keep abreast with current research and trends by regularly attending conferences, workshops, and continuing education in order to best serve my graduate students, trainees, and clients as a whole. With the sentiments of gratitude and enthusiasm, I'm excited to welcome your participation in Workshops for the People.
