BRITTANY ALESHIRE, PH.D.
My name is Dr. Brittany Aleshire and I am excited to be part of the team at Workshops for the People. I received my B.A. from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo. From there I completed my M.A. and Ph.D. at Alliant International University in San Francisco. Compassion, commitment, and flexibility are the foundations of my personal and professional ethic. I often rely on my strong intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm for education, and sincere commitment to supporting those seeking counsel and support.
I have been fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work with at-risk, high dysfunction, culturally diverse children, adolescents, adults, and their families. I trained in brief therapy models, attachment based family therapy models, narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and gained experience in a wide variety of therapeutic modalities (e.g. individual, couples, family, group therapy). I was able to develop a strong capacity for self reflection, awareness, commitment, and inspiration. These experiences have helped me find the most effective space for me to do the work I am passionate about.
I consider myself a student of the world, my own life, and my personal relationships. I'm passionate about travel, reading, philosophy, and helping people find and live out their life's true purpose. I consider myself both honored and blessed to be able to pursue my life's purpose with the help of those open and willing to share their journey with me!
